A leadership development organization that is building a movement of transformational leaders to end inequality
To expand educational opportunity by developing transformative future leaders that will lead systemic change to create a truly liberatory environment that will end educational injustices in Sierra Leone.
Overview
Teach For Sierra Leone (TFSL) Sierra Leonean led and governed non-profit organisation that delivers a globally tested leadership development and education fellowship program that seeks to attract, recruit and develop a cohort of future leaders with a passion for ending educational inequity (disparities in quality of education) in Sierra Leone. The fellowship provides leadership training, teacher training, coaching and mentorship to highly qualified recent university graduates and professionals from varied disciplines.
TFSL fellows teach in high need schools and rural communities for two years, impacting the lives of individual children, affecting change in teaching practice, school culture and educational outcomes in the communities in which they serve. Alumni of the Programme then have the opportunity to build on their classroom teaching experience to drive long-term change within the educational system as they progress into leadership roles in their varied private, public and educational sector professions, working to make systemic, long-term changes in the fight against educational inequity in Sierra Leone.

Continuous Learning
We are committed to open and continuous reflection and growth. We ask for and welcome constructive feedback from one another, our students and ourselves in order to ground our work in honesty.
Sense of Possibility
We know that excellence can be achieved. We hold consistently high expectations for ourselves, our students and one another, in the face of any and all challenges.
Innovation is Simple
We are committed to introducing innovative solutions, moulding systems and challenging standards to produce new ideas that are easy to understand, apply, and proliferate. We work with sincerity and diligence to invent the future.
